Introduction

This post is for my friends, family, and anyone who has either stumbled on this blog or are otherwise trying to find me.

My name is George Ellenburg. I was born in Orlando, Florida in the early 1970s.

I grew up in Orlando with Disney, Sea World, Wet 'N Wild, the Kennedy Space Center, Daytona Beach, the Ocala National Forest, and more.

Went to school in Orlando:

My first jobs were in Orlando.

I then moved down to Ft. Lauderdale for some more work. But since that work was basically building out the first Internet Porn website and since I might have left Ft. Lauderdale under some interesting circumstances, I'm not going to list the Company name.

Back to Orlando, and I next worked for Micro-Mainframe Technology, Inc. (Sundial Internet). But this was right about the time where local and regional telcos were buying up local ISPs left and right.

Eventually Sundial sold to BellSouth but before that happened I moved up to Atlanta.

I spent 24 years in Atlanta. I love Atlanta. (Hated the traffic though.) Of those 24 years I spent over 70% of the time at Southern Company in the Information Security group (which went by several different names over the years) managing IT Vulnerability Management, overseeing OT Vulnerability Management, and managing the Company's PKI.

I retired from Southern Company in 2022 when my pension vested. In 2023 I sold my house and all my belongings and bought a 5th wheel RV/Camper and a diesel F250 and left Georgia behind.

It didn't take long though and I ended up in New Mexico, and when I got here to New Mexico I decided I didn't want to leave. My only regret is not moving here sooner.

Currently I'm in Albuquerque, and have no plans to leave. This is the perfect size city for me. I love the people. I love the weather. I love the fact that recreational marijuana is legal in New Mexico. And while I might love green chili, my stomach and ass do not, and no amount of Pepcid AC helps which does put me off to the food a little.

So if you're wondering what the hell happened to me? Well, this is what happened to me.
